Reading By Starlight Award Banner (3).png

Award season is upon us so here I am, rolling out the red carpet and throwing confetti in support of our bookish community.

The very best thing about Reading By Starlight are the amazingly talented people I’ve met. You all inspire me in more ways than I could ever express and while I can’t nominate all  of you, I am so excited to share some of your blogs today. Before I get into my nominations, I just want to thank the lovely May over at Forever And Everly for hosting this year. These awards serve as an opportunity to showcase those who go above and beyond and as a chance to discover new blogs. You can learn more about the Annual Book Blogger Awards and how to vote here.

I also want to acknowledge each and everyone one of you for your support and friendship. Your comments, your recommendations and your engagement is what Reading By Starlight is all about. So thank you for allowing me to fan-girl with you over our shared love of literary worlds. I especially want to thank my good friend Siobhan because she nominated me for a category this year and being nominated was both incredibly humbling and a dream come true. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Siobhan! ❤

Without further ado, behold my Book Blogger Award nominations:

Aentee | Read At Midnight

Aentee’s blog is seriously one of the most beautiful blogs in the community.  Be sure to check out her stunning fan art and graphics because they will actually leave you drooling. First of all, Clara’s graphics are so beautiful. Major heart eyes! Blog design aside, Clara is my go-to blogger for a quick recommendation. Her recommendations are always top-notch and perfect for my mood reading self.

☆ Best Discussion Posts
Siobhan | Siobhan’s Novelties

Siobhan is not afraid to tackle the hard stuff and is more than happy to get controversial. While I never miss a review, it’s her discussions that really showcase just how amazing she is. Siobhan also dedicates a lot of posts to discussing mental health which I appreciate.

☆ Best Blog Aesthetic
May | Forever And Everly

Forever And Everly has a level of beauty that I aspire to achieve. The layout, the design and those floral graphics are just, simply put, stunning. While there are some seriously gorgeous blogs in the community, May’s stands out as a work of art.

☆ Best Blogging/Writing Voice
Jess & Teagan | Fiction No Chaser

I cannot rave enough about how much I love Jess and Teagan. I aspire to achieve their level of wit and snark. Jess and Teagan’s bubbly personalities bleed through into every post they craft. What I appreciate the most though, is the cocktails and drink they mix to pair with each review. I mean, how awesome and creative is that?!?

Xandra’s is another blog I’ve only recently discovered but I am in awe. Considering Xandra is so new to the blogging game, her graphics and design scream seasoned blogger.

☆ Best Small Book Blogger
Vanessa | Postcards For Ariel

Vanessa deserves all the love you guys because she is so active on her blog and her reviews are criminally underrated. I love the way Vanessa structures her reviews but it’s her First Lines Friday posts that really take the cake. Vanessa has led me to discover some seriously amazing books through these posts.

☆ Best Overall Book Blogger
Kelly | Another Book In The Wall

How could I not nominate the beautifully talented and extremely dedicated Kelly for the Best Overall Blogger??? Kelly is an inspiration and I am so proud to see that I am not the only blogger who believes she deserves this honor. Another Book In The Wall is a new-ish blog and yet Kelly has managed to do so much in such a short amount of time. Kelly is always up for a chat and is super doper friendly.

That’s it from me for now, it’s time to stretch my legs for a while. Choosing a blog for each category has been one of the hardest tasks undertaken this year. Like I said earlier, I wish I could nominate all of you. I guess all that’s left to say is good luck and I’ll see you all again when the voting commences. Alexandra

They way you write about each book and how it encapsulates the essence of autumn was just so atmospheric. I could practically hear the crunching of leaves under foot and feel the chill in the air!
